As a Manager in Training, you will gain valuable insights into the daily operations of managing a convenience store, guided by our experienced leaders.
Your training will involve working closely with a Training Manager and Supervising Manager across various shifts to familiarize yourself with our operations, team dynamics, vendors, and customer interactions.
This role is pivotal in supporting the Store Manager and team members to ensure an outstanding shopping experience for our guests.
Training Framework:
During designated training weeks, Managers in Training will collaborate with Training Managers to learn effective management practices for convenience store operations.
In the interim supervisory weeks, you will engage in diverse shifts alongside team members, applying your leadership training in real scenarios.
Upon completion of training, you will join our leadership bench, stepping in during absences until assigned to your own store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly and with a smile, as exceptional customer service is our hallmark.
- Assist the Store Manager in cultivating a robust store team through training, scheduling, and coaching.
- Lead by establishing clear, measurable goals, holding yourself and others accountable, and maintaining effective communication.
- Monitor inventory levels on the sales floor, ensuring stock rotation and availability.
- Oversee quality control, merchandising, and food safety protocols in locations that serve hot food.
- Maintain a clean and inviting store environment, ensuring all areas, including the coffee station and restrooms, are well-kept.
- Efficiently operate the cash register.
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing food service operations, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Manager or District Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience in retail or food service
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in a leadership role within retail, guest service, or restaurant settings
- ServSafe/Food Safety certification is advantageous but not mandatory

- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with guests and team members

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position requiring a flexible schedule, including day and night shifts, as our locations may operate 24 hours.
Weekend and holiday availability is essential.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform various physical tasks in varying conditions.
Noise levels in the work environment are typically moderate.
