Position Overview:
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) plays a crucial role in responding to urgent medical requests and providing outstanding patient care, treatment, and service. In this position, you will operate company vehicles, maintain a comprehensive understanding of medical protocols, and ensure the readiness of the ambulance for any call.
Core Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and stay informed about medical treatment protocols and organizational policies
- Drive company vehicles in accordance with safety regulations
- Quickly and safely navigate to various locations
- Conduct routine inspections of the ambulance and report any concerns
- Ensure precise documentation of patient evaluations and treatments
- Engage effectively with patients, their families, and fellow responders
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the ambulance and its equipment
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication abilities
- Valid Driver’s License and State EMT certification
