Job Summary

Summit Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Facility Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a robust security program, ensuring compliance with government regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the industrial security program, including personnel processing, program reviews, document control, and audits.
  • Develop and execute security programs to protect proprietary information and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
  • Conduct initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, and refresher briefings as needed.
  • Develop and conduct training programs on security awareness, CUI safeguarding, and self-reporting.
  • Support customer assessments and implement security measures to meet requirements.
  • Oversee procedures for handling, storing, and granting access to classified materials.
  • Provide guidance to employees and recommend modifications to operations policies or procedures as needed.
  • Initiate, review, and process Personnel Security Clearances and Periodic Reinvestigations.
  • Review employee background screening results and provide pass/fail determinations.
  • Maintain facility clearance records and ensure compliance with DCSA requirements.
  • Process clearances and customer visits and provide support for classified meetings.
  • Investigate incidents and security violations, conduct administrative inquiries, and submit reports as required.
  • Operational oversight of compliance with the requirements of the NISP.
  • Conduct FOCI Audits and ensure compliance with FOCI mitigation documents.
  • Provide security guidance on controlling, safeguarding, and marking classified materials.
  • Oversee the completion and adherence to the security self-inspection programs and actions to correct deficiencies.
  • Conduct administrative inquiries about incidents involving non-compliance with security requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Assistant Facility Security Officer or Facility Security Officer.
  • Must have FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Certification and other related security training.
  • Knowledge of government security and information assurance processes.
  • Experience with protection requirements for handling and safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information.
  • Experience with JPAS, DISS, NCAIS, NISS, and NBIS.
  • Experience in establishing SCIFs/TSCIFs.
  • Strong working knowledge of the NISPOM, other relevant DoD security guidance, DCSA guidance, and Intelligence Community Directives.
  • Experience conducting initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre/post foreign travel briefings, and refresher briefings.
  • Experience conducting security incident inquiries and writing investigation reports.
  • Experience conducting security awareness, training, and education programs.
  • Resourceful in solving problems and capitalizing on opportunities.
  • Able to interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operations.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience working with Office 365, Adobe, and other office-related applications.
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field.
  • Desired - CISSP, CISM, PMP.
Security Requirements
  • Must have a DoD Secret clearance.
