Key Responsibilities:
  • Route Operations: Safely operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect solid waste, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Customer Service: Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine post and pre-route inspections on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires, to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.
  • Waste Disposal: Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities, following all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
  • CDL License: Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a CDL Driver or in a related field is highly desirable.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, as well as work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in weather conditions.
