Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and review intricate tax filings for affluent individuals, including federal and multi-state returns.
  2. Research complex tax matters and new regulations to ensure compliance and uncover planning opportunities.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to address client requirements, providing expert tax guidance to navigate their financial situations.
  4. Build and maintain robust client relationships, delivering exceptional service and ensuring satisfaction.
  5. Identify and mitigate potential tax risks and liabilities.
  6. Stay informed on industry trends and changes in tax legislation.
  7. Support clients during tax audits and negotiations with tax authorities.
  8. Assist in implementing tax strategies aimed at minimizing liabilities and enhancing client wealth.
  9. Oversee direct reports, reviewing tax submissions and authorizing documentation.
  10. Work closely with executive leadership in strategic reviews, goal setting, and management responsibilities.
  11. Demonstrate leadership qualities and a desire to develop the tax team.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
  3. At least 6 years of experience in public accounting or tax services for high-net-worth individuals.
  4. In-depth understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  5. Proficient in tax software (experience with UltraTax is highly preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts clearly.
  8. Capacity to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  9. High level of integrity and professionalism.
