Job Summary

The West Fargo Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Swimming Instructor to join our team at the Hulbert Aquatic Center. As a Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for providing participants with a safe, effective, and enjoyable lesson experience while responding to their needs as they relate to their participation in the aquatic program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for participants
  • Follow the procedures of certifying agencies, such as the American Red Cross
  • Knowledgeable of life guarding regulations and pool equipment
  • Attend all meetings and training sessions
  • Record chemical readings, water temperature, and pool inspections
  • Keep full attention on participants in your class
  • Develop and implement lesson plans for each lesson
  • Ensure participants meet course completion requirements
  • Ability to work with a variety of people and maintain composure under stressful conditions
Requirements
  • Registered Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend technical documentation and information
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group settings
  • Ability to work with a variety of people and develop effective working relationships
