Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist II to join our team in the Division of Point of Care Testing at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing routine laboratory tests and complex assays, operating and maintaining test equipment, and verifying and reporting test results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine laboratory tests and complex assays
  • Operating and maintaining test equipment
  • Verifying and reporting test results
  • Training non-laboratory testing personnel
  • Recognizing and responding to problems

Requirements:

  • Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license or limited license
  • Baccalaureate Degree in a biological science, chemistry, medical technology, or related science
  • One year of clinical laboratory experience, with two years preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent sitting and standing; walking and bending, lifting of materials up to 25 pounds for distances to 10 feet
  • Frequent use of computer keyboards, monitors, and telephones
  • Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communication devices
  • Near visual acuity including color differentiation
