Tasks involve sweeping, dry mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors using appropriate cleaning tools such as brooms, mops, lightweight vacuum cleaners, and floor scrubbers.

Additional duties include dusting, waxing, and polishing furniture, as well as emptying ashtrays and waste receptacles. The role also requires polishing door handles and other metal fixtures, washing accessible walls, windows, and blinds without the need for ladders or scaffolding. Responsibilities extend to receiving clean linens and delivering them as instructed. Maintaining restrooms in a clean, organized, and sanitary state is essential. This includes cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls, as well as cleaning mirrors, sinks, and drinking fountains. Dusting ledges and woodwork, replacing deodorizers, toilet paper, hand towels, and soap are also part of the job. Observing the condition of facilities and reporting any maintenance needs such as broken windows, leaks, or clogged drains to a supervisor is required. Keeping an inventory of necessary cleaning supplies and equipment is essential, along with notifying the supervisor when supplies are low or equipment requires repair or replacement. Other related tasks may be assigned as necessary.

Required Experience:
No prior experience or training is necessary.

Applicants must be able to follow simple oral and written instructions and effectively use hand or lightweight powered cleaning tools or equipment.

The ability to stand, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods is required. Education may be considered for certain federal positions, but this role does not permit education substitution.

Additional Information:
Candidates must meet all qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position. Male applicants born after a certain date must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is mandatory. Successful completion of an employment verification check is required. A probationary period may be necessary. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily fulfilled prior to starting the position.

This is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) position that supports Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) activities.
