Key Responsibilities:
As a Principal Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the oversight of the installation, qualification, calibration, maintenance, and repair of essential equipment and systems. Your expertise will ensure the reliable operation of machinery that supports the development and manufacturing of neuro-interventional medical devices. Your duties will include:

  • Enhancing and managing calibration and maintenance protocols to guarantee the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
  • Diagnosing issues and determining whether equipment or components can be repaired or require replacement, including ordering and installing necessary parts.
  • Collaborating with equipment and process stakeholders to define and document equipment IQ, OQ, calibration, and maintenance schedules.
  • Establishing a systematic approach to organize spare parts and overseeing inventory in collaboration with purchasing and manufacturing teams.
  • Proactively resolving issues using effective troubleshooting and repair techniques while meticulously documenting all repairs and adjustments.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A high school diploma with at least 8 years of relevant experience; an associate degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, assembly drawings, facility blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical alignment and troubleshooting of complex electromechanical systems, pneumatic systems, and electrical components.
  • Familiarity with CMMS, CAD, and analytical/statistical tools such as Excel, Minitab, or JMP.
  • Experience working within quality systems that comply with governmental regulations, including FDA QSR and ISO 13485.
