We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to create high-quality images of tissue, organs, and other body parts.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for MRI exams, explain procedures, and administer contrast when necessary.
- Position patients for the MRI scanner, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of the scan.
- Enter and monitor patient data, perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment, and assist with accreditation applications.
- Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
- Take emergency calls within the department and ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- One year of experience in MRI technology.
