The Opportunity

We're seeking a Clinical Laboratory Specialist (Phlebotomist) to provide an exceptional experience for our patients. Reporting to the Office Manager and collaborating closely with our team, you'll be integral to our patient's primary care journey. Your expertise will ensure specimen collections and processing meet the highest quality standards while delivering personalized, calming experiences for our patients.

You'll utilize growth mindset to navigate rapidly changing technology and workflows, providing best-in-class human-centered care. As a strong team player, you'll use innovative problem-solving skills to tackle various tasks and challenges. With excellent specimen collection technique and tactful interpersonal skills, you'll create amazing moments for our members and teammates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality venipuncture services for patients of all ages
  • Perform extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Support our members beyond lab services by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties

Requirements:

  • An active phlebotomy certification to practice in CA and at least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, with additional experience with remote teams a plus
  • A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
