Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and collection of clinical data
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including ordering diagnostic tests and medications
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, primary nurses, and other healthcare providers to provide family-centered care
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to provide evidence-based care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records, including coding and billing
  • Serve as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts, ensuring smooth patient processing and treatment
  • Act as a mentor to new staff and physician assistant students
Requirements
  • Master's degree in an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Working Conditions

This role requires standing, walking, and lifting frequently. The ability to work in a clinical setting with exposure to patients with various medical conditions is required.
