The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Minnesota Medical School is seeking a full-time faculty researcher/scientist. The successful candidate will be appointed to an academic rank based on qualifications and experience. The position requires demonstrated ability in research, scholarly productivity, and teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a research fellowship and/or a clinical scholars program designed to prepare physician-scientists for an independent career in clinical and patient-oriented translational research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pursue scholarly work in the candidate's area of specialty/research experience with a goal of developing collaborative or independent, externally funded research.
  • Be active in national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents, and faculty.
  • Contribute to the Department of Radiation Oncology's research, undergraduate, and graduate education programs.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated ability in research, scholarly productivity, and teaching.
  • Preference given to candidates who have completed a research fellowship and/or a clinical scholars program.
