Job Summary:

The Certified Surgical Technologist functions as a member of the Surgical Services Perioperative Team, performing delegated duties consistent with their scope of practice and adhering to AORN Standards and SCHS policies and procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of aseptic practices, technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain a safe and sterile environment for surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during operations
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Collaborate with the Perioperative Team to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program or equivalent
  • Current NBSTSA Surgical Technologist Certification
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
  • 1 year of experience in a high-volume operating room preferred
