Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Basketball Coach to join our team at the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette. As a coach, you will be responsible for creating a fun and safe environment for young athletes to improve their basketball skills and confidence.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for basketball and a commitment to providing high-quality instruction and guidance to our participants. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement engaging and challenging programs that meet the needs of our youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement basketball programs for youth aged 8-18
  • Provide instruction and guidance to participants
  • Establish positive relationships with players and parents
  • Supervise children on a regular basis
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in program development

Requirements:

  • YMCA background check
  • CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Preferred basketball experience (playing/coaching)
  • Reliable transportation for travel to sites across the West Region
