About the Role

The Proton Physicist will collaborate with clinical and medical staff on simulation and treatment planning, provide ongoing oversight of the quality and safety of patient treatment delivery, and participate in departmental quality assurance and continuous quality improvement programs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform proton machine QA based on AAPM TG 224.
  • Collaborate with clinical and medical staff on simulation and treatment planning.
  • Provide ongoing oversight of the quality and safety of patient treatment delivery.
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance and continuous quality improvement programs.
  • Participate in clinical research and protocol efforts.
  • Collaborate with engineers to implement/improve new technologies.
Requirements
  • M.S. or Ph.D. degree in medical physics or related discipline.
  • Board Certified or eligible for certification in therapeutic medical physics from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent certification.
  • Two or more years of prior work experience as a Medical Physicist or Medical Physics Resident in a full-service radiation therapy center.
