Job Title: Design Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled Design Draftsman to join our team at Pyramid Consulting, Inc. in Richmond, VA. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and maintaining documents associated with design, engineering, and construction within the Power Generation Business Unit of our client. This includes organizing and maintaining drawings, prints, diagrams, word documents, and PDF documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and maintain documents, drawings, and prints related to design, engineering, and construction.
  • Work closely with designers, engineers, and power station personnel to perform drafting tasks and revisions to drawings and documents.
  • Compile and organize submittal drawings and documents from 3rd party vendors and consultants.
  • Locate, modify, and print drawings using small and large format plotters.
Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • AutoCAD, Drawings/Design Engineering and documentation, Drafting.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience.
  • Basic knowledge of drafting principles.
  • Basic knowledge of building and construction principles.
  • Good analytical and abstract thinking with the ability to process detailed information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to process and understand maps and charts.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of software.
  • Ability to use AutoCAD and/or MicroStation drawing software.
