Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer

Guthrie Clinic is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing routine and emergency echocardiograms, including 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, Doppler, Transesophageal, and Stress Echocardiograms, as requested by a physician and in accordance with standard practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating tests, records, test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs, statistics, and billing.
  • Perform high-level disinfection for TEE probe in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Perform routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, and report any equipment malfunctions to echo lab manager.
  • Purview patient's medical record to obtain history of symptoms and necessary information for performance of diagnostic procedures.
  • Prepare preliminary reports for review and interpretation by Cardiologist, including comparison of previous studies.
  • Instruct students, fellows, nurses, or health personnel as requested.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patients, employees, and corporation-related activities.
  • Communicates technical and patient care-related information to established processes and timelines.
Requirements:
  • Requires a two-year allied health degree and successful completion of an approved one-year program in Ultrasound Technology and at least two years' experience in the field.
  • ARDMS certification preferred.
