Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our team at Ames Copper Group LLC in Shelby, NC. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive estimated salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on industry standards and the local cost of living.

About the Role:

  • Weighing inbound and outbound materials using scales, ensuring accurate records and maintaining receiving logs.
  • Operating various equipment, including sit-down forklifts, bobcat skid-steers, grappler style cranes, and articulating front-end loaders, to receive and unload freight safely and efficiently.
  • Visual copper inspections upon receipt to determine disposition, applying knowledge of metallurgy and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

  • Certification in forklift operation and data entry, math, and computer skills.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds and maintain punctual attendance.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
