Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Johnson Security Bureau, Inc. as a Construction Site Security Specialist. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times and manage access control to ensure the security of the site.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and guests while assisting with their needs.
- Report any suspicious persons, vehicles, packages, and/or activities to ensure the site remains secure.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide necessary support, contacting emergency services when required.
- Patrol the site regularly to prevent and detect potential security threats.
- Write incident reports and log book entries to maintain accurate records of site activity.
- Protect clients' and company assets from theft, assault, fire, or other safety issues.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a secure and efficient site operation.
Requirements:
- 2 years of security experience, preferably in a construction site environment.
- OSHA-30 or 10 Construction certification.
- TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card) Certification.
- Valid New York State Security Guard License.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Flexible work schedule, including weekends.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Command of the English language and ability to be clearly understood in English.
- Strong smartphone and tablet operating skills.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Fully vaccinated.
- 18 years old (or the minimum age required by State).
- Authorized to legally work in the United States.
- Pass a drug test with negative results.
- Pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verification, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks, if applicable.
