As a Web Designer, you will be responsible for creating user-friendly and scientifically useful web-based resources for science and society. You will work collaboratively with our lab's coordinators and IT department to recode the Bio-atlas and bring it up-to-date. This individual will be responsible for implementing new features and functionality, ensuring high-performance and availability, and maintaining all technical aspects of the Bio-atlas webpage.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining scientific websites
  • Proficient with core web technologies including JavaScript (jQuery), CSS, Web standards, Python, Django, SQL, Apache, OpenSeaDragon, and HTML/HTML5
  • Experience working with PHP and creating custom Drupal modules
  • Solid understanding of databases and version control
