Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at GreenPower Motor Company in Porterville, CA. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing installations and assembles parts according to special written work instructions, routings, blueprints, and verbal directives.

GreenPower Motor Company is a leading manufacturer and distributor of purpose-built, all-electric, zero-emission medium and heavy-duty vehicles serving the cargo and delivery market, shuttle and transit space, and school bus sector.

• Performs installations and assembles parts according to special written work instructions, routings, blueprints, and verbal directives.
• Cleans, assembles, disassembles, and replaces parts as required.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment and optimizes space utilization.
• Communicates and cooperates with supervisors and coworkers.
• Operates and maintains shop equipment.
• Follows quality service standards and complies with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Keeps production supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of related experience.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Reading and basic math skills; ability to understand verbal and written work instructions.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Skilled in use of hand tools, shop tools, equipment, and measuring devices.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures; machinery and forklift experience are preferred.
• Manufacturing and/or automotive experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel if required.

The estimated salary for this position is $18-$20 per hour. Qualified candidates will generally work a 40-hour work week, working four, 10-hour shifts.
