Job Title: ESE Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated ESE Teacher to join our team at Desoto Schools. As an ESE Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with exceptional educational needs.

Job Summary:

The ESE Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, providing accommodations and modifications to ensure equal access to education, and collaborating with other educators and support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities
  • Provide accommodations and modifications to ensure equal access to education
  • Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in special education to ensure the highest quality instruction and support for students
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid Florida teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with students with exceptional educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
