**Salary:** $124,700.00 - $180,650.00 per year, including potential sales incentive payments, may vary based on job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

Job Description:

The Relational Database Architect will partner with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data management solutions for CardinalCommerce. Key responsibilities include ensuring database performance, reliability, and security; designing and implementing effective database structures; collaborating with software developers and data analysts to integrate databases with other systems; and participating in an on-call rotation to address emergency incidents.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with relational databases (i.e., SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL) in production environments; NoSQL technologies like MongoDB, Redis; middleware technologies such as ActiveMQ, or Kafka; virtualization (VMware and/or Docker) and SAN technology.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of RDBMS best practices and industry trends; proficiency in Windows Server and Linux operating systems; familiarity with programming languages (Python, Go, Java, C++, .net); excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Analytical skills with experience in troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems; experience with configuration management and orchestration tools (Ansible, Terraform, Vagrant).
