What We Seek: As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for welcoming customers to our dealership, managing incoming calls, and processing transactions accurately. Your role will also involve performing various clerical tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Operate the telephone switchboard efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with callers, minimizing wait times.
  • Take detailed messages, ensuring all necessary information is captured.
  • Provide general information to callers as required.
  • Assist the sales department with cashier duties when needed.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while interacting with customers and staff.
  • Accurately calculate customer bills using our dealership's system.
  • Process cash, checks, and credit card payments, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Issue receipts and provide change accurately.
  • Reconcile cash and payment totals at the end of each shift.
  • Stay informed about new products and services offered by the dealership.
  • Direct customers with further inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  • Handle customer complaints with professionalism and refer them as necessary.
  • Process cash refunds for approved returns.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong communication abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capability to manage multiple phone calls simultaneously.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in a dealership or retail receptionist role preferred.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Professional appearance is essential.
