The role of the Kitchen Sanitation Specialist is crucial to our operations. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all kitchen tools and equipment. By ensuring that dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are spotless and readily available, you will help maintain the seamless flow of our restaurant.

Upon joining our team, you will receive thorough training tailored to your responsibilities, focusing on safety and sanitation standards. You will learn our kitchen protocols and contribute effectively within a collaborative service environment. Adherence to company policies and procedures is essential, along with performing various opening, ongoing, and closing tasks.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handlers Certification
  • Effective verbal communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance and usage
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Capability to train peers on processes and culture

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute assigned opening and closing tasks
  • Thoroughly wash all soiled dishes, glassware, and utensils following proper cleaning protocols
  • Assist with stocking supplies and perishable items as directed by the Chef or Sous Chef
  • Participate in the cleaning of the kitchen area, ensuring a tidy back of house
  • Efficiently load and unload dishware from the dishwasher to designated storage
  • Maintain a clean, dry, and safe dishwashing area
  • Follow instructions from management
  • Report to supervisors before concluding shifts
  • Adhere to the maintenance and cleaning schedule
  • Promptly report any safety hazards to management
  • Communicate any relevant information regarding shift activities
