Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Corrections Registered Nurse to join our team for a travel nursing opportunity in a correctional facility setting. As a Corrections Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to inmates in a secure and controlled environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to inmates, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Conduct regular health assessments and screenings to identify potential health risks and develop strategies for prevention and intervention.
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Corrections Registered Nurse or in a similar setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with inmates, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
