Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate School Psychologist to provide essential services to support the academic, social, and emotional development of our students. The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive assessments, offer counseling, and collaborate with educators, parents, and the community to foster a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychological and educational assessments to identify and address student needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling to help students with social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
- Work with school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Design and implement school-wide programs to promote mental health and academic achievement.
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support as necessary.
- Maintain detailed and confidential records of all services provided.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement effective educational strategies and interventions.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services License with a School Psychologist endorsement.
- Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is preferred.
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting psychological assessments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, and community organizations.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with best practices in school psychology.
Experience:
- Prior experience as a School Psychologist in a K-12 educational setting is preferred.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and a range of disabilities is highly desirable.
