Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse Lead provides skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a professional medical doctor or midlevel provider, and provides a variety of related services to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the day-to-day work and productivity of patient care staff
  • Advise and assist staff on problem-solving patient/customer issues
  • Assist supervisor in scheduling employee time off and daily work assignments
  • Address issues associated with clinic operations
  • May act as a clinical preceptor
  • Aids management in a variety of areas such as but not limited to hiring, training, employee engagement, performance management, identifying areas for service or operational improvement, and reinforcing established expectations from management, and scheduling
  • Daily Rooming Duties including all specialties, including pediatrics

Requirements:

  • Degree in Practical Nursing
  • Current Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse license
  • CPR certified. Knowledge of sterile technique
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
  • Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids
  • Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Analytical ability to gather and interpret data and develop, recommends, and implement solutions

Compensation:

Pay Range: USD $34.07/Hr.
