Job Description

The School Nurse will work under the direction of the Director of Special Education to assess, evaluate, and improve health services for our students and staff. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting state-mandated screenings and follow-ups for vision, hearing, and scoliosis
  • Reviewing and monitoring medication administration for students
  • Designing and implementing individual student health maintenance plans
  • Serving as a liaison between health professionals and parents, teachers, and administrators

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current medical terminology, equipment, and techniques, as well as experience working with students with special needs. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a California Registered Nurse (RN) License are required.
