Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Optum in St. Paul, MN. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the pharmacy functions, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff.
  • Prescription Filling: Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
  • Inventory Management: Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies, and verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
  • Communication: Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Compliance: Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
  • Clerical Duties: Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
