SalaryThe estimated salary for this position is between $80,000 and $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionAs a School Pupil Transportation Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for interviewing, fingerprinting, and processing applicants for various school bus classes. You will conduct both written and driving tests, issue temporary certification for original and renewal drivers, collect fees, and process all paperwork related to regulated drivers. Additionally, you will review accident reports involving regulated drivers and coordinate activities with other CHP Areas and Allied Agencies to provide proper driver monitoring.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have a valid California Drivers License (CDL) and be able to pass a drug screening, background investigation, and medical clearance prior to being hired. You must also meet the minimum qualifications for the School Pupil Transportation Safety Coordinator classification.
