Job Description

**Network Engineer**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team at EarthCam. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure high availability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and highly-available networks
  • Administer and monitor routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, LAN/DMZs, DNS, DHCP, ACLs
  • Work with the security team to implement security policies and deploy security systems
  • Respond to network incidents and outages
  • Perform physical maintenance of network equipment
  • Manage telecommunication circuits
  • Identify network issues and recommend solutions
  • Develop and maintain network documentation
Requirements
  • 8 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise networks
  • Advanced knowledge of BGP and OSPF in a multi-site, multi-ISP environment
  • Experience with Cisco ASR router & IOS, SNMP, Nagios, HSRP
  • Expert knowledge of subnetting and IPv6
  • Working knowledge of fiber and transceivers
  • Competence with coding or scripting language
  • Experience with onboarding, offboarding, and managing transit providers or internet exchanges
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Extreme Networks switching
  • Background in Linux or Windows systems administration
  • Knowledge of RIRs and ROA/IRRs
