- Assist dentists with instrument passing, prepare restorative material impressions, and ensure effective high-quality treatment is rendered.
- Take and develop x-rays, accurately mount and label radiographs with patient information.
- Chart dentists' instructions, explain treatment plans, and provide post-operative instructions to patients.
- Verify patient information, greet and seat patients, and check sterilizers for proper operation.
- Adhere to universal precaution policies, wear protective gear, and follow safety standards.
- Notify lead assistants of equipment malfunctions and low product levels.
- Use reference resources to answer questions, solve problems, and document patient complaints.
- Participate in department performance improvements and fulfill compliance responsibilities.
Requirements:
Minimum Experience:
one year
Radiation Health and Safety Certificate
Desired:
Certified Dental Assistant, - 5 years work experience.
Work Environment:
Significant exposure to dirt, odor, noise, human waste, etc.
Physical Demands:
- Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force
- Some manual skills / motor coord & finger dexterity
- Some occupational risk
