About the Role

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to support the Department of Air Force's Advanced Battle Management System's Digital Infrastructure, Deployable Digital Infrastructure Product Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement innovative solutions to deliver results to warfighters, leveraging the latest DevSecOps resources, scalable cloud, and bare metal microservices for advanced communications, tactical cloud, and secure processing.
  • Facilitate technical information exchange on Platform as a Service (PaaS) functions to support consortium objectives, providing on-demand access to computing resources.
  • Decompose and allocate requirements to system functions to design, develop, and deploy a capability for monitoring and maintaining an application ecosystem running on PaaS.
  • Develop and maintain digital system architecture, models, and architecture standards for the DDI Product.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 14 years of engineering/technical experience in Enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of experience as a systems architect.
  • Systems of Systems Integration experience from a design/architecture perspective.
  • Experience with MBSE modeling.
  • Excellent verbal and presentation communication skills.
Desired Skills
  • Experience designing detailed full-stack platform solutions, including trade studies, cost, schedule, and technical aspects.
  • Familiarity with architecture patterns and technologies for deployable open systems infrastructures, including at least 5 of the following: MOSA approaches, CI/CD, commercial cloud, hybrid cloud, edge cloud architectures, LINUX-based systems, microservices/containerization/Kubernetes & service mesh/routing, voice & data networks, encryption, cross-domain solutions, modern authorization/ICAM/Zero-Trust architectures, data management/synchronization.
  • Familiarity with operational US military systems deployed into the tactical echelon, including specific familiarity with tactical and strategic/back-haul voice and data communications, sensor integration, military commercial cloud integration.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting technologies above.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Application development and deployment processes.
  • Experience with SAFe agile processes.
  • People leadership experience, including mentoring, coaching, and building high-performing engineering teams.
  • Prior military or hands-on experience with tactical military IT systems in production use.
  • Familiarity with USAF operational and tactical CONOPS.
Target Salary Range

$160,001 - $200,000

SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.

SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
