Shift Details: 3rd shift: 9:00 p.m. - 5:30 a.m.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour

Location: This role is based in our food manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute standard cleaning protocols as trained for equipment and facilities, including disassembly/assembly, application of cleaning agents, scrubbing, and rinsing.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment as required for each cleaning task.
  • Mix and combine necessary cleaning agents as per documentation for each assignment.
  • Adhere to safe handling procedures and understand the safe operation of equipment.
  • Follow lockout/tag out and safety protocols for each piece of equipment.
  • Comply with correct labeling of chemicals and containers.
  • Follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and complete necessary paperwork for daily and Master Sanitation programs.
  • Collect and dispose of trash from production and packaging lines, kitchens, and warehouse areas.
  • Sort and dispose of recyclable materials appropriately.
  • Report any malfunctioning equipment to the Sanitation Team Leader or on-duty mechanic.
  • Inspect completed cleaning tasks to ensure standards are met and rectify any deficiencies.
  • Adhere to the company’s employee handbook, safety manual, and GMP guidelines.
  • Be certified to operate a forklift and scissors lift.
  • Monitor and manage water usage effectively.


Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Recent experience in physically demanding roles, including consistent heavy lifting.
  • General labor experience.
  • Experience in sanitation or janitorial work is considered an asset.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read and identify chemical labels and complete forms accurately.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
Physical Demands

Employees must be able to navigate wet floors, use ladders and stairs, handle cleaning chemicals, and work in wet and warm environments. The ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy equipment is required.

Work Environment

Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and must perform tasks at heights. Working with strong cleaning chemicals requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in varying temperature and humidity conditions. The noise level in the work environment is typically loud.
