A Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing basic medical attention to patients and assessing their wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the daily activities of the Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and ensure policies and procedures are followed by nursing personnel.
- Participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents as required.
- Assess residents' conditions, prepare, and administer medications per physician orders.
- Initiate, review, and update care plans.
- Report any changes in a resident's condition to the nurse supervisor and keep them informed of factors that interfere with being able to perform work as assigned.
- Perform other assigned duties given by clinical or administrative leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written, and electronic communications.
- Current unrestricted LPN license in practicing state.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
