About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at IKO Industries Ltd. As a key member of our Plant Operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our manufacturing facilities, ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and manage a team of maintenance personnel, including maintenance supervisors, electrical supervisors, planners/schedulers, and inventory coordinators.
    • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to achieve plant safety goals, including zero injuries.
    • Participate in the Plant Leadership Team to drive business objectives and improve overall plant performance.
  • Maintenance Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program based on best practices, emphasizing effective planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
    • Plan, coordinate, and prioritize maintenance requirements in conjunction with operations departments to achieve minimum cost and high reliability.
  • Training and Development
    • Ensure maintenance personnel are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated to perform maintenance procedures safely, efficiently, and effectively.
    • Conduct regular performance feedback and coaching to improve team performance and competence.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate regularly with maintenance team members, both individually and as a group, to ensure two-way information flow and address any concerns or issues.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with overall plant operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and analyze maintenance-related reports to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.
    • Make recommendations to management to improve plant operations and maintenance processes.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to maintenance and plant operations.
    • Monitor and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history, repair records, and spare parts inventory.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • At least 8 years of progressive industrial manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent time and project management, organizational, production planning, scheduling, and analytical skills.
    • Hands-on experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance programs.
    • Experience with advanced maintenance technologies, such as vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil analysis.
    • Proven ability to build morale, lead change, and continually improve team performance.
    • Highly developed communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, mentoring, and people management skills.
