Your Responsibilities

As a member of the IT Infrastructure Automation team, you will be tasked with delivering reliable, scalable, and creative solutions aimed at optimizing daily operations, enhancing efficiencies, and enriching incident responses for our stakeholders and the organization.

The IT Infrastructure Automation Engineer is expected to facilitate collaborative discussions with stakeholders to ensure that their requirements are not only met but ideally surpassed.

Team members are encouraged to proactively assess trends to identify future opportunities that align with team and business objectives.

  • Provide comprehensive automation solutions from the initial requirement gathering to production deployment.
  • Contribute to establishing team strategies and best practices as part of a relatively new team.
  • Develop solutions following industry best practices and internal standards.
  • Offer technical insights during the design and development phases.
  • Effectively communicate project status, risks, and challenges to stakeholders, presenting iterative demonstrations to showcase development progress.
  • Utilize your experience to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Create solutions that are resilient and handle unexpected errors gracefully.
  • Address defects and performance issues identified during testing.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and rollout phases.
  • Work within project planning constraints, identifying and communicating project risks and issues to the project manager as necessary.
Your Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting automation.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Python.
  • Experience with Ansible Engine, REST API, or Kubernetes is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in two or more of the following: JavaScript, SQL, PowerShell, and Ansible.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and xMatters.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), SAFe, and Agile methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of a wide range of hardware and software products.
  • Experience in leading technical teams is an advantage.
  • A Bachelor's degree or a technical institute degree/certificate in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to evaluate business challenges and devise suitable solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment and adapt to new skills and techniques.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
  • A passion for IT and automation, with a drive to stay updated on the latest technologies and contribute innovative ideas.
  • A proactive approach and a collaborative mindset.
  • A willingness to embrace change and support initiatives aimed at enhancing existing processes.
