Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Instructor to join our Physician Assistant Studies program at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, advising, admissions, and performing other duties as delegated by the Program Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and teach curriculum for the didactic and clinical phases of the program
  • Support student learning activities and ensure academic competency standards are met
  • Coordinate assessment and evaluation processes, and provide feedback and action plans
  • Participate in the admissions process, including file review, interviewing, and student selection
  • Recruit and manage clinical sites, preceptors, and affiliation agreements
  • Attend faculty meetings, curriculum meetings, and other program events
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the ARC-PA standards and ensure compliance with the curriculum
Requirements
  • Master's degree (Doctorate preferred)
  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
  • High degree of organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make distinctions among competitive applicants
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated presentation skills
  • Evidence of program planning and management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited PA program
  • Eligible for PA licensure in North Carolina
  • Current NCCPA certification
  • 5+ years in PA education experience
  • 5+ years as a clinically practicing PA
