Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients for rehabilitation services promptly following physician directives.
- Design and implement effective treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
- Administer treatments in accordance with established care plans.
- Oversee the Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in delivering clinical services and engaging with patients and their families.
- Maintain open communication with physicians, clinical managers, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning discussions.
- Meet or exceed productivity benchmarks set by the organization.
- Facilitate training sessions for facility staff on rehabilitation techniques and programs.
- Document treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate patients' families and facility staff on maintenance programs to support ongoing recovery.
- Assist in discharge planning and recommend necessary equipment to enhance patient care.
- Report any equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Serve as a clinical supervisor for students from local Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant programs.
- Be available for emergency situations, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and core values of Concept Rehab in all professional interactions.
- Engage in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Core Competencies
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and excellent communication abilities. Problem-solving and analytical skills are essential, along with a commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Current licensure as a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant in the relevant state(s).
