Batching and Compounding Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Batching and Compounding Specialist to join our Prep department. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced beverage manufacturing environment and a strong attention to detail.

The Batching and Compounding Specialist will be responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients for our variety of beverage products. This includes verifying ingredient quantities and quality, following written procedures, and maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of food and beverage safety and sanitary handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mix formulas in accordance with written procedures
  • Verify ingredient quantities and quality
  • Follow management's direction pertaining to batch schedule and housekeeping items
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, tanks, hoses, and lines
  • Receive and unload tankers of liquid sugar, alcohol, and product
  • Complete required paperwork, e.g. Batch Production Sheets, logs
  • Transport ingredients around warehouse via forklift
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary environment and report any areas of concern to management

Requirements:

  • At least six months work experience in a food or beverage manufacturing work environment
  • Knowledge of food and beverage safety and sanitary handling
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds of products daily as needed
  • Ability to manage staffing within assigned department
