About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineering Director to oversee all aspects of facilities engineering operations across multiple client sites. This role will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the efficient and effective management of building systems, maintenance programs, and energy conservation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive facilities engineering strategies aligned with client objectives and industry best practices.
  • Manage a team of facilities engineers and technicians, providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs, equipment repairs, and system upgrades to ensure optimal building performance.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable solutions.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Analyze facility performance data and prepare reports for senior management and clients.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely completion of projects and maintenance tasks.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in facilities engineering.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in facilities engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
  • Proficiency in building automation systems and energy management software.
  • Excellent project management and team leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • LEED AP or other relevant sustainability certifications.
  • Experience with smart building technologies and IoT applications in facilities management.
  • Knowledge of energy modeling and building performance simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Experience in managing facilities for diverse property types.

Compensation: The estimated total compensation for this position is $169,600 - $212,000 per year, depending on experience.

Location: Remote options available in Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA.
