Pipefitter Apprentice

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter Apprentice to join our team at ESYS AUTOMATION, LLC. As a Pipefitter Apprentice, you will be responsible for assembling equipment per mechanical drawings, ensuring changes and problems are documented and communicated, and carrying out assigned tasks with minimum direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble equipment per mechanical drawings and ensure quality standards are met.
• Document and communicate changes and problems to the team.
• Carry out assigned tasks with minimum direct supervision and execute ISO quality standards.
• Communicate with the Pipe Fitter/Fluid Power Lead on open issues and progress during the build process.
• Successfully execute assigned programs as they relate to cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area.
• Assist with preparing material for secondary processes (material finishing, heat treat, and deburring).
• Effectively and safely operate various equipment, including pipe threaders, pipe groovers, high-pressure hose machines, and more.

Requirements:

• Eligible to enroll in an approved apprenticeship program.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Related vocational education preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Intermediate proficiency reading part and assembly drawings.
• Proven mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety and quality.
• Proven ability to accept direction and complete tasks as assigned while working as part of a team or individually.
• Ability to maintain a steady pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and climbing onto and beneath machines.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to obtain a Hi-Lo (Forklift), Aerial Platform, and Overhead Crane license, along with Lock Out Tag Out training.
• Ability to provide own hand tools and toolbox suitable for the job.
• Travel at least 25% of the time may be required.
