Northwell Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Ambulatory Neurosurgery team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in neurology and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Collaborate with neurosurgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Perform daily patient rounds and document patient progress.
- Write orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.
- Interpret laboratory and test results, and communicate findings to patients and healthcare teams.
- Develop and implement performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program and National Board Certification in specialty area required.
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State, and current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required.
- Collaborative practice agreement with designated protocols filed with NYS Department of Education OR collaborative relationship attestation as per the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act 2015.
- Current BLS certification, required.
The salary range for this position is $100,000-$180,000/year. Northwell Health is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
