Job Summary

CCHCS is seeking a highly skilled Senior Psychiatrist to join our team in the Statewide Mental Health Program. As a Senior Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing direct assistance to CDCR institutions, identifying and removing obstacles to providing psychiatric services, and participating in quality management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct assistance to CDCR institutions in the identification and removal of obstacles to providing psychiatric services
  • Identify and monitor corrective action plans to improve productivity and quality of care
  • Participate in quality management processes to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Work with institutions to improve productivity and quality of care, providing guidance and consultation as needed
  • Travel statewide to provide support and guidance to institutions

Requirements

  • Must have a strong background in psychiatry and experience working in a correctional setting
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be able to travel statewide
