Caregiver Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Caregiver Specialist to join our team at The Family Support Center. This is a full-time opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing daily support and assistance to individuals in residential settings within the 5 boroughs of New York City. Your primary goal will be to empower them to live fulfilling and independent lives.

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals, promoting their independence and self-advocacy skills.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, families, and community members.
• Assist with daily living tasks, medication administration, and health-related activities.
• Document progress and maintain accurate records of individual's service plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred.
• Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities desired.
• Valid driver's license a plus, depending on program needs.

Estimated annual salary: $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
