Plastics Equipment Operator

We are currently in search of a motivated individual with a strong ability to withstand heat and a willingness to learn for a client in the manufacturing sector. Previous experience in plastics is advantageous but not mandatory.

Shift Details:
  • 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Compensation:
  • $15 per hour
  • All hourly wages are starting rates, with potential increases of $1 or more per hour upon successful completion of training, depending on the role and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufactures products through various processes such as pouring, extruding, pressing, and dipping.
  • Measures, logs, and adjusts machinery to ensure product uniformity.
  • Inputs data into the production tracking system.
  • Reduces downtime and waste.
  • Suggests enhancements for performance improvement.
  • Conducts pre-shift equipment inspections.
  • Diagnoses machine and material issues.
  • Handles machine and product changeovers, including the adjustment of dies, molds, wax blends, wicks, blocks, fill heights, and cutting blades.
  • Collaborates with other departments as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Prior experience operating machinery.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Willingness to embrace new concepts and a desire to grow.
  • Good manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to endure hot working conditions, particularly during warmer months.
