Logistics Management Institute seeks a seasoned expert to serve as a Senior Policy Analyst for our Acquisition and Sustainment Services team. This individual will provide strategic support to a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, focusing on organic industrial base strategy, materiel readiness, and maintenance management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as subject matter expert in organic industrial base, materiel readiness, maintenance, or sustainment, ensuring work products align with client needs and weapon system acquisition and sustainment requirements.
• Develop approaches and techniques to strengthen the organic industrial base from resourcing, infrastructure, and policy perspectives, incorporating advanced analytical skills and maintenance policy expertise.
• Analyze and assess potential effects and impacts of existing and proposed legislation on DoD policy related to organic industrial base performance, industrial base capabilities, and weapon system availability.
• Employ specialized knowledge and experience to conduct assessments designed to increase the government's ability to enhance the viability and resilience of its organic depot maintenance activities.
• Prepare point papers, speeches, remarks, and other materials for senior DoD officials, addressing topics such as maintenance levels of repair, core capability determination, testability requirements, support equipment needs, site activation, and sustainment planning.
• Clearly communicate analytical and/or policy-related outcomes in advocacy, briefings, papers, and associated products to senior level DoD stakeholders and audiences.

Requirements:
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in management, operations research, mathematics, or data science (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience with DoD materiel readiness or organic/industrial base organizations (required).
• Prior military or DoD civilian/contractor experience.
• Knowledge/experience in industrial base planning and metrics development, or specialized experience in DoD weapon system acquisition and sustainment frameworks and metrics.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, proven ability to use database and statistical software.
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.
• Demonstrated history of excelling in a team-oriented environment while supporting a broad range of strategic planning initiatives.
• Superior communication skills, both oral and written (required).
