This is a part-time role, scheduled from 6:30 AM to 5 PM.
We are seeking operating room (OR) nurses with a minimum of 1 year of circulating experience. Our Operating Room nurses play a vital role in high-performing teams dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, driven by their expertise, compassion, and commitment to evidence-based practices, while functioning at an advanced level of practice.
- Skilled clinician with extensive experience in patient care, possessing a solid understanding of the specific needs of diverse patient populations.
- Regularly applies acquired knowledge, theoretical frameworks, research, and practical experience to adapt to clinical changes. May serve as Charge Nurse when designated. Responsible for orienting staff or students in the absence of a designated preceptor.
- Capable of implementing the Synergy Model for Care in practice, utilizing this knowledge to tailor care for each patient and their family.
- Focuses on patient and family needs while considering cost containment. Advocates for patients based on a thorough understanding of their conditions.
- Identifies and executes appropriate actions in non-routine scenarios, seeking assistance when necessary to resolve complex challenges.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program with at least 12 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- Must possess a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- BLS certification is required; ACLS certification may be necessary in specific departments.
Be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment within an interdisciplinary team. Emory Hillandale Hospital has successfully performed over 150 total joint procedures without any surgical site infections.
- Hillandale is a 100-bed community hospital.
- Patient Population: General Surgery, Gynecological, Orthopedic, Peripheral Vascular, Plastics, and Urology surgeries.
- Targeted Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1
